On the 16th of august, akademiska-hus will shut down all power to the houses A, Alfa, and Alf between 20:00 and 00:00 in order to perform some maintenance. In order to have a clean shutdown and return of LUDD services including DUST and LCnet we will begin our service shutdown starting at 18:00, and you can expect a return of service after 01:00 and at latest later on the 17th if issues arise.
We will post updates here when we are once again up and running.

All services should now be restored, if you have any DUST vm:s that are not responding you might have to go into the DUST dashboard and press start. If any LCnet units are still shutdown you can always contact adm@ludd.ltu.se or write to root on telegram.

On the 5th of July of 2022 power issues in the Porsön area caused circuit breakers to jump in the server room. Almost all of our services were disturbed by this power outage. A failure in our internal DNS made resolving the issues slower than normal, but once that challenge was out of the way we had a clearer picture on what was wrong.

Most of our services should be up and running now, but there may be smaller disruptions (we are aware of a small issues with DUST currently), and one of the database servers is not feeling too well, but we are working hard to fix the last remaining issues.

Hi to all our fellow Vicke Virus Enthusiasts!
Now that we have officially taken over from the old board, we found it appropriate to write a message welcoming you all to this new academic year and announcing some exiting events that are going to take place this year.
As always the beginning of the year will be designated to recruiting the next generation of LUDDare and helping them kick-start their education with our standard array of courses including git, latex, and Unix (dates TBD). But for our old-timers, don't worry because we plan to kick off the year with a new event, so stay tuned.
A highlight of this year will of course be LUDD's 32 year anniversary which we will celebrate towards the end of LP3, and will consist of multiple events over a weekend if plans go to shore. So keep your eyes peeled to our website and hopefully our new platform at Hitract which we have joined along with the student unions.
And lastly we would be amiss not to thank our predecessors from the 2021/2022 board who did an amazing job, both tackling challenges in the face of a pandemic and recruiting as crazy bringing many new faces to LUDD. Thank you!
All of us on the board wish you a great year, and hopefully we will see you in T1 soon.

Due to localized power issues in dh2 today(2022-06-14), we're experiencing difficulties with some of our DUSTcloud nodes. We currently have 2 nodes online so your vm might not be affected, but be aware that the DUSTcloud dashboard among other services are unavailable for some time.
This post will be updated once we make some progress.
At this time, we can't really give an ETA for when everything should be working again.
The problems should now be resolved and you should once again be able to access all services hosted on DUSTcloud. If you have any problems persisting with your vm you can as always contact root at adm@ludd.ltu.se

Due to a power outage at LTU yesterday (2021-12-06), we're experiencing difficulties with DUSTcloud, LCNet and most of our services.
This post will be updated once we make some progress.
At this time, we can't really give an ETA for when everything should be working again.
All of the LCnet issues are resolved now.
Dustcloud should slowly be starting up. Most VMs should be available for use, but their performance may be degraded.
Thanks to all of the root members that contributed to the repairs.

LUDD's premises(A1401 / T1) will be closed next week for construction work. At least Monday to Friday, but possibly also a few more days. The card system will not be running and it will not be okay to go in and buy things in Bosch.
