I found a page, which linked to another page, which I looked at. After the main content there's a comments section, which I scrolled through. Nothing weird so far. Then I got to "Comment by: biologist at February 3, 2006 04:26 PM", which is a copy of this old thing! I don't know if I should be annoyed (by the stolen credits) or shocked, amused, flattered, ... (The closest I ever got to that sort of thing was when I got flamed for making this picture, and the one following it.)

In 1996 it was "lost in cyberspace". In 2006 it is "lost in blog land". If you find one that's interesting you'll spend ages going through it, and the comments to it, and the links to other interesting blogs. After a while you are in places that you don't remember how you got into and then you find that it's suddenly next Tuesday! AAARRRGGGHHH! Blogs are Evil!
And before that I was enjoying reading everything I could find about survival kits and survival knives, but that's a long story (starting about 20-25 years ago). Maybe I'll write a page about it, some day. For now I can just show a picture of the "survival knife" I made then, (it's the one on the right). I put every small piece of junk I could think of on it. It's at least as useful as the ridiculous things it's a parody of, and the knife is probably better too! (it's a Mora knife: [A page with lots of praise], [A test, comparing a Mora knife to some other knife], [American shop that people at bladeforums.com seem to like])
