This wonderful chaotic thing was sort of buried inside and in parallel with the chat party held around the same time. I thought it would stand out more if I put it in a file of its own.
VK; I hope so; I hope so! It might make you feel better to know that it is no longer 20C here but -5C! and there is snow cover too.
VK; I'm glad to hear that. You sounded quite miserable. There's nothing more boring than to be sick! I loathe it and am always anxious like you to be better.
llizard >> If you want some nicely naughty fun, try this: http://www.geocities.com/progator_amc/ [Here's the story (as I understood it): Some guy who has heard a lot about "open source projects" decided to make his homepage "open source" - in the sense that he'd let his password be "public". THEN he gets soooooo offended when people make *changes* to it (duh!), and spends much of his time changing back to what he had before...]
VK; Whoa!!! I just turned the images on and suddenly the page isn't black anymore but a violent yellow. (I don't quite understand yet what the premise is)
llizard >> Just log in and un-yellow it then! :D:D:DD
VK; I don't quite understand this open source thing... how does it work?
VK; Wait a minute... I just scrolled over and see the login name.
llizard >> Just go to the Geocities homepage and log in with the user name and password that the guy posts openly on the homepage. Then make any change you like (such as, for example, un-yellow-ing the homepage...)
llizard >> Keep fixing! (he's left my ascii art and maze additions stay, so you can do any changes/additions you like to that...)
VK; I'd forgotten how annoying Geo is to log into! I decided to change the colours to be worse than before. I also installed the GeoBanner so that that blasted popup wouldn't happen in NS3
VK; I'll have to do it later... rationing has been imposed. I'm glad you're feeling better and hope you feel best soon.
llizard >> Mmmm...? Yellow background still there...
(later)
VK; I don't suppose you made a note of the login name and password for that open source page?
VK; Because the last people who went in erased it.
llizard >> > username: progator_amc > password: halifax
VK: you are wonderful. I wanted to add something today but couldn't
(later)
Krogg >> Join the fun at Geocities! There's a guy there who's been inspired by "open source" software and decided to make an "open source" web page (by leaving user name and password on the main page, so anybody can go in and make any changes....). http://www.geocities.com/progator_amc/
[just don't expect things there to last forever - people tend to not agree on things (*espectially* the site owner himself!!!) and remove things that other people have done...]
[I think there's some kind of fight over a certain little teddybear... like, some people want it there and some keep removing it :D::DD ]
VK>>HEHE...sounds like a real mess...I will have to take a look.
VK>>THanks for the link.. Sounds like it CANT last long....
Krogg >> Of course it can't! (especially considering that the people most involved in this hang out in flame/troll newsgroups...)
[taking a look at it now]
VK>>its taking forever to load...maybe i could shorten it.

VK; I have become addicted to the open source page. I made a few changes to your ascii folder and added an instruction on how to keep the pages Adbox free (adbox causes a popup in NS3)
llizard >> Mmmm... just don't be sad when somebody does some changes to your additions - or removes it all! (and I don't expect the site to live for two seconds if/when Geocities staff find out what's going on...) :D
VK; I fully realize that the changes are temporary.
VK; But so far most have remained. The actual guy has left them there. I'm hoping that he'll stop using that stupid "pagebuilder" though and take my advice to learn HTML.
llizard >> Did you write this? (or was that page written by the Emperor?) http://www.geocities.com/progator_amc/geoguidehowto.html
llizard >> "the actual guy" is apparently not too bright, and the guys who are teasing him use that html generator to tease him...
(later)
VK; I can't stop playing in the open source page and just added something on-topic http://www.geocities.com/progator_amc/ascii/food.html#mcvomit
VK; >VK [email] [home] 12 Mar. 18:52, from: 130.240.2.143, red > >llizard >> "the actual guy" is apparently not too bright, and the guys >who are teasing him use that html generator to tease him... It seems like he uses an html generator to make the actual page (or maybe I've never seen the page as he likes it to look.)
llizard >> You probably haven't seen the page as he wants it to look. :D
VK; ha ^^^%--- ha " \ ha Perhaps I haven't.... Does his page have ANYTHING to do with McDonalds?
llizard >> I have _no_ idea! (you should check up on who Emperor JB is, he's a meower but I don't know the URL to his homepage...)
VK; hahaahahaha! I just assumed that the real page was the violent yellow one with all the stuff about mcd's That is the one that keeps reappearing.
VK; What I find really amazing is that ANYTHING stays the same.
llizard >> Did you see a version with some graphic stuff with an hurglass on it?
llizard >> Well, there's that "Progator" guy (the one who owns the whole thing) and then there's Emperor JB, and a whole bunch of meowers and maybe some more people I don't know anything about... and you... 8)
VK; I've never had the images turned on for long enough to see anything except the background image and the "Wanted for gross Stupidity" image.
VK; Forgive my ignorance, but what is a meower?
VK; aside from the obvious four footed furry feline
llizard >> I'm sure the Emperor has a page or five about what the McD stuff is all about. Try looking in the bozobin link page for links to his site...
llizard >> For that you want the Emperor or Meow (different emperor).
VK; I see that you added the maze. (But you really should put <!--#geoguide--> at the bottom of each page and activate the bloody geoguide. How I LOATHE that popup that comes if the geoguide isn't there.!)
llizard >> I haven't done any editing of the maze. I just copied it straight from my homepage...
(later)
brojek >> Did you try the "open" Web site? http://www.geocities.com/progator_amc/
no
Should I?
