I wasn't totally happy with that caption, so if anyone can think of a better one, let me know...

How cold is it, over there?

The temperature is all silverware, or this is your better idea for a caption?
JRO >> It's -17C and I intend to spend the afternoon standing still in one spot (a very windy spot) outdoors...
Decent people wouldn't be up this early... here. I wonder why I am?
JRO >> The forks and stuff is because it's lunch time here.... :-9
So, dear, you are planning on freezing in place somewhere? I would suggest you stay in one spot --- inside.

Yes, I thought it would be about lunchtime, there. What are you having?
If you were in Borneo, you could be eating durians...
If you were in Mexico, you could be eating tamales...
If you were in Chile, you could be eating empanades, which are the same thing, really...

Maybe you are eating ice; sounds like you have the weather for it.
JRO >> I don't know, haven't decided yet... :)
Ah... what movie is this you are planning on seeing?
JRO >> About 20 of them.... for a price roughly equivalent of that of four pizzas...
Do you often have to fight polar bears, up there at the north pole?
You mean you buy a pass that is good for a ticket to several movies?
I used to have a freind in Canada... they eat lots of bear stew and moose pie up there. I guess it's probably the same where you're at; huh?
JRO >> That's exactly what I mean! And it's extremely cheap! That's why they make us queue in the cold for several hours... :)
How many bears a year do you skin out, Veronica?
JRO >> We don't have polar bears, all our bears are brown... :D
Hmmm... well, I don't know much about buying movie passes over there. Here, you can get one, if you want to; pretty much whenever you want to.
11:30! Time for lunch! *leaving* FS, JRO >> Bye! :)
No polar bears? But I thought you were at the north pole; or nearly.
Hokay... be good
VK, JRO >> Bye! *lunch*
JRO >> This is a University thing, so it's 20 films for the price of two... but only if you're a student (and have the ID-card to prove it!) :)
Okay ------ derivation of Choctow Indian "hokay". Introduced into English language by President Andrew Jackson, who began signing bills with "OK". He picked up the term from treaty negotiations with the Choctows some years before, and became endeared to it.
Go eat lunch, dear. And don't freeze to death waiting on movie passes.

What appeared on my screen when I logged out from ludd: I get up each morning, gather my wits. Pick up the paper, read the obits. If I'm not there I know I'm not dead. So I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed. Oh, how do I know my youth is all spent? My get-up-and-go has got-up-and-went. But in spite of it all, I'm able to grin, And think of the places my get-up has been. -- Pete Seeger
