David; I have been going through major withdrawal because our computer
harddrive crashed and the computer was in the shop for ages. It's so
wonderful to have it back!

David; I rarely drink cocktails actually. But I do like good wine with
dinner and love to have eau de vie digestifs as well.

David; For instance, I NEVER have a martini, shaken or stirred because
I had an unfortunate experience with gin in my formative years.  :^/

David; I don't take it the wrong way but I think I do know what real ale
is. :^)

Do you like it black and molassesy? I also prefer ale to lager. (In fact
I find most lagers quite loathesome.) We're beginning to be able to get
good ale here in Canada.

David; My sister was recently in Cambodia and brought back some beer (sort
of as a joke) but two of the six cans were absolutely brilliant. Angkor
lager and Angkor ale were phenomenally good.

David; What kind do you want it to be? (ha ha ha ha)

With sweet fizzy wine, I think it should be cambazola

With dry fizzy wine, I think it should be a good runny brie, although
now that you mention it, I don't know that I would eat cheese with
Champagne like wines... I'd have Paella with Champagne like wines.... 

David; I've HEARD of Old Peculiar! There is a character in a series
of mystery novels who always drinks Old Peculiar and I wondered what it
was like.

The molassesy kind are a bit much for me. I like my ale on the slightly lighter
side.

David; you would not recognize any of the names because the ales we
drink come from local Microbreweries.

David; What GREAT names! Ours are quite dull, like Nut Brown. Dragon's Breath
is the only one I can think of that comes even close to those wonderful
names. (It's a pretty good one too.)

DAvid; We weren't allowed to have those. My mother found them aesthetically
displeasing and was most annoyed that I insisted on substituting my 
thumb for far too long. (It still annoys her that her threats that I
would have buck teeth were not realized.)
