llizard>>Actually I rarely drink cocktails but I had several over
the Christmas period (where did all my money go I wonder).
I like wine with dinner but my drink of choice would be real ale.
(Don't take this the wrong way but do you know what I
mean by real ale).

David; I don't take it the wrong way but I think I do know what real ale
is. :^)

Do you like it black and molassesy? I also prefer ale to lager. (In fact
I find most lagers quite loathesome.) We're beginning to be able to get
good ale here in Canada.

David [email] [home] 9 Jan. 23:16, from: 194.176.64.138, black
(what kind of cheese is that?)

llizard [home] 9 Jan. 23:16, from: 209.161.226.223, blue
David; My sister was recently in Cambodia and brought back some beer (sort
of as a joke) but two of the six cans were absolutely brilliant. Angkor
lager and Angkor ale were phenomenally good.

llizard>>You have just described my all time favourite drink.
"Theakson's Old Peculiar".

llizard [home] 9 Jan. 23:19, from: 209.161.226.223, blue
David; What kind do you want it to be? (ha ha ha ha)

With sweet fizzy wine, I think it should be cambazola

With dry fizzy wine, I think it should be a good runny brie, although
now that you mention it, I don't know that I would eat cheese with
Champagne like wines... I'd have Paella with Champagne like wines....

llizard [home] 9 Jan. 23:21, from: 209.161.226.223, blue
David; I've HEARD of Old Peculiar! There is a character in a series
of mystery novels who always drinks Old Peculiar and I wondered what it
was like.

The molassesy kind are a bit much for me. I like my ale on the slightly lighter
side.

llizard [home] 9 Jan. 23:22, from: 209.161.226.223, blue
David; you would not recognize any of the names because the ales we
drink come from local Microbreweries.

David; Is this what you see after too many pints of Old Peculiar?
