Transcription

Iarlabanki let ræisa stæina ?essa at sik kvikvan, ok bro ?essa gær?i fyr and sina ok æinn atti Tæby allan

Swedish

Jarlabanke lät resa dessa stenar efter sig, medan han levde, och han gjorde denna bro för sin själ, och han ägde ensam hela Täby

English

Jarlabanke let raise these stones after himself, while he was living, and he made this bridge for his soul, and he himself owned the whole Täby

Compare with U164, U165, U212 and U261 (will be published later). During the 17:th century the stone lay in the south church door, probably as a threshold stone. Obviously it was knocked into four pieces when it was taken out of the door. It is now placed to the left of the churchdoor. It may once upon a time have been part of the rune stone bridge in Täby church village.
