FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a tried and true method of transferring files via TCP/IP. Although not initially built with much security in mind, it has later been complemented with encryption through SSL.

LUDD currently only supports SFTP (FTP via SSH). In order to use SFTP, check out the SSH article.
