Mjau... The story.

It all started one cold winter night. I sat lonely and
brokenhearted and was very unsatisfied about what
life had to offer. I wanted to get back at life and
give it a needed kick in the groin.
And then Mjau was born.

At first it could just reply on some silly keyphrases
like: Give me a Coke, Kick me, and so on. But
that wasn't really enough, so I started to improve it
so it would answer in a more "human like" way.

It worked quite well but had alot of bugs and ugly code.
Then a good friend of mine, Magnus, started to help me.
He rewrote the code and cleaned things up.
(He is very good at cleaning up. ;-)

Now improvements were easier to add and she even
got a personality. Kattarina from northern Sweden,
who studies biology and just broke up with her
boyfriend.

Hmmm... I can't realise what attracted people to a
channel called #Kisse (Swedish for Pussycat.) and
someone called Mjau (Swedish for Meow.) Maybe
they liked animals?

Some might think that it is cruel to trick people
that they are talking to a "nice" young girl.
Just check the logs and you will agree with me
that most of them deserved it.

Back to the Mjau homepage.
